An artice in today's Windows Secrets describes a new exploit that attacks Secure Socket Layer and might compromise data being sent using it. The article is available at http://windowssecrets.com/top-story/protecting-yourself-from-poodle-atta... . It describes the exploit and describes modifications to your browser that will protect you until new versions of the browsers are released. The fix for IE is simple and takes less that 2 minutes. I tested it on both the Portal / Sharenet and TaxWise and both are still working correctly. I'm going to apply it to all of my computers that are used at sites.
